Hotels, began his brilliant career at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan. He
has joined Baglioni after years of experience in prestigious Starwood
Hotels, where he held the position of Hotel Manager at the Grand Hotel
St.Regis in Rome and of General Manager at the Hotel Gritti Palace in Venice
and at the Hotel W in Milan.
Faisal Rashid, Baglioni Hotels Collection, Regional Director of Sales for
the Middle East and Baglioni Hotel London Regional Director of Sales for the
Middle East, after a successful career as the Director of the department
named “Government and Royal Families Sales" and previously as Director
Strategic Accounts for Marriott Global Sales Organisation, Middle East &
Africa brings a deep knowledge of the Middle East and of Arab culture.

Al Bustan
Palace Muscat reopens
Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat has announced its official
reopening, following extensive renovations to the entire property. The scope
of the hotel’s restoration work encompassed a comprehensive upgrade of the
property which included the lobby, beach and garden area, sports facilities
and the majority of its guest rooms and suites. In addition, the hotel will
house an international concept restaurant VUE by Shannon Bennett, the first
restaurant outside Australia for the acclaimed chef.
Luxury
serviced property opens in Fujairah

Anantara
joins Al Madina A’Zarqa project
Blue City Company 1 has announced an agreement with Anantara Hotels &
Resorts, part of the Minor Hotel Group, and one of Asia's leading hotel
owners and operators, for a new beachfront hotel development in Al Madina
A'Zarqa, a real estate infrastructure project in the Sultanate of Oman
currently under phase one of its construction. Internationally recognised as
leaders in hospitality, the agreement with Anantara signals the launch of
the first-ever hotel alliance for Al Madina A'Zarqa, as well as the debut of
Anantara in Oman.
Hyatt’s
growth driven by Middle East and China
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has continued its run of year-on-year growth in 2008,
with the Middle East and China underpinning the hotel chain’s global
expansion.“In 2008, Hyatt saw greater numbers of both business and leisure
travellers in the Middle East, and this increased demand for luxury
accommodation is being met by Hyatt’s continued expansion in the region.
2008 marked the signing of a management agreement between the hotel group
and Abu Dhabi National Hotels for Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. The hotel, set to be
completed in 2010, is located on Saadiyat Island and will be surrounded by a
